We take on environmental projects of all types and sizes. We provide services to First Nations’ communities and managers, industry, non-profit organizations, conservation groups, schools, homeowners and small businesses. We have worked in a range of ecosystems and situations including aquatic, riparian, wetlands, grasslands, forests and alpine. We have managed projects in hydroelectric reservoirs, on industrial facilities and for construction projects.
Splitrock offers Environmental assessment and monitoring services to construction and infrastructure projects. We develop environmental management plans and implement site monitoring. We have experienced cultural monitors and we take on projects to help ensure the protection of the land, air and water including fish, wildlife, archaeological and cultural values.
Splitrock has its roots in ecological restoration. We can see a project through from conceptualization, plan development; to implementation, monitoring, maintenance and adaptive management. We operate under the principles of restoration as outlined by the Society for Ecological Restoration and echo the guiding principle to protect first. We can help you establish and achieve your restoration goals by helping nature heal.
Splitrock propagates native plant species for use in restoration works, remediation and landscaping. Focal species have cultural, wildlife, land and body healing benefits. By collecting seeds and selling healthy plant life, shrubbery, trees and grasses, Splitrock can continue to aid ecological restoration and promote environmental balance.
