General Manager

Jessica Hopkins, a member of the Sekw’el’was community,  is the General Manager at Splitrock Environmental. She began her role as General Manager in 2018. She is responsible for managing all business, staff and projects at Splitrock. Jessica attended Nicola Valley Institute of Technology and Vancouver Island University, specializing in fisheries and aquaculture science. She also has a certificate in Environmental Monitoring. Jessica loves being an integral part of her community and when she is not working she can be found spending time with friends and family or planning her next exciting adventure.

Kaleb Ledoux, B.Sc.

Kaleb Ledoux, B.Sc.

Biologist

Kaleb Ledoux, a member of the Shalalth community,  is a Biologist at Splitrock Environmental with 3 years experience in the field. Kaleb started at Splitrock in 2018 and his duties include designing, implementing, managing and reporting on a diverse range of projects such as vegetation studies, vegetation management, construction site environmental monitoring and more. Kaleb has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in botany. He spent an additional year studying natural resource science including silviculture, geographic information systems and forest entomology. When not working, Kaleb enjoys canoeing, fly fishing and time with friends and family.

Odin Scholz, B.Sc., E.P.

Odin Scholz, B.Sc., E.P.

Senior Biologist

Odin is a Restoration Ecologist at Splitrock Environmental with over 20 years of experience in the field.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and is currently a certified environmental professional with a specialization in site assessment and reclamation. He has developed, implemented, and monitored complex ecological restoration and monitoring projects for a variety of ecosystems including forests, woodland, grassland, riparian, aquatic and wetland habitats.  Odin has worked to restore drastically disturbed sites including  reservoir drawdown zones, and mine sites.  Odin has a passion for native plants and understanding the natural patterns in landscapes. He strives to bring a landscape level perspective to each project.  Odin has a broad base of knowledge in land and resource mapping, data analysis,  federal and provincial environmental law, environmental monitoring and technical report writing. Outside of work, Odin is busy working on the family farmstead and finding time for birding, jogging, playing guitar and ice hockey.

Courtney Andrews

Courtney Andrews

Nursery Manager

Courtney Andrews is the Nursery Manager at Splitrock and has been with the company since 2019. She obtained a Chartered Herbalist Certification, Supervisor Training and her Level 1 First Aid designation. Her responsibilities at Splitrock involve the management and oversight of all planting, seeding, collecting and other duties associated with running the nursery. Prior to Splitrock, Courtney worked with and helped manage 2 other companies in the same  industry . Courtney is passionate about nursery management and is most proud of her restoration projects in the Lillooet area and the community garden project for Sekw’el’was. When not working, Courtney enjoys reading, hiking, exploring nature and gardening.

John Redan

John Redan

Land Use Advisor | Environmental Technician | Fisheries Technician

John Redan, a member of the Sekw’el’was and Qaqy’ten community,  is a Lands Use Advisor, as well as an Environmental and Fisheries Technician. He has been with Splitrock since 2010. John is integral in his technician role, having earned an extensive list of technician certifications, and he contributes to land use responsibilities through mapping for community and company. Additionally, John is responsible for the organization and management of company information, on ground field work, and attending important company, cultural and community meetings and working groups. When not at work, John enjoys video games, socializing and admiring the great outdoors.

Daryn Scotchman

Daryn Scotchman

Land Use Advisor/Environmental Technician/Fisheries Technician

Daryn Scotchman, a member of the Sekw’el’was and Qaqy’ten community,  is a Lands Use Advisor, as well as an Environmental and Fisheries Technician. She has worked at the company since 2011. Her responsibilities at Splitrock consist of mapping, data management and field surveying. Daryn obtained an Environmental and Fisheries Technician Certification and has completed various coursework related to wildlife tracking, environmental assessments, GIS and GPS training and cultural monitoring. Some previous projects Daryn is proud of are the Grizzly Bear DNA project, as well as the Texas Creek Watershed Closure. When not working, Daryn enjoys drawing, painting, photography and exploring.
