Hello everyone! Just a friendly reminder to be aware of the bears in the area. Our bear population is critically endangered, and if we do our part to keep the bears out of our yards and streets, they are less likely to be killed.
Do you know the difference between a Black Bear and a Grizzly Bear?
Hiking/Camping season is upon us! Please remember to be safe and carry Bear Spray! Educate your selves on how to handle a bear encounter!

FREE Grizzly Bear Conflict Prevention Workshops in Pemberton June 16th & 17th.
Open to all communities!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this years Walking With the Smolts Festival! It was a fantastic turn out! I hope everyone got to see the amazing Raptor Show, if you missed out, here are a few photos of the birds that were here!
- Please note that there is NO parking at the site or at Lightfoot Gas Station. Buses and vehicles can drop people off at the site by following the signs. Then buses and vehicles can park just down the road at the old Shantyman/Pizzarama site (again there will be signs to direct you).
- A shuttle bus will then transport any drivers or other community members who are coming back to the event.
- At the end of the student’s day the buses can come back to the pick-up location to load students.
- THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL!!
