Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are the technologies used to create maps and to manage and understand geographic data.  This course is an excellent chance to learn the basics of GIS and digital map-making, designed to provide participants with no prior digital mapping experience with powerful tools to access, edit, and present environmental geographic data.
